Celebrating first anniversary

Over the past year, many new Dialogue in the Dark (DiD) programs and exercises have been developed, tested and successfully executed. Most of the training covers team building, communication, collaboration and leadership as well as focusing on the immediate implementation of findings as a result of the various exercises. Furthermore, DiD has become an integral part of many leadership programs of the Allianz Management Institute (AMI).

"The number and types of bookings, as well as the size of many groups, has already required us to expand our facility during the first year," says Angelika Antz-Hieber, Head of Dialogue Training Center. "We have added another 'black box' which allows us to train up to 50 participants together in one seminar room. So we are now able to run training sessions for up to 114 participants in parallel in our exhibition and two 'black boxes'."

In March 2010 Dialogue in Silence (DiS) became part of the DTC training curriculum. Several training sessions have already been successfully conducted and there are plans to include DiS in various training programs and/or to combine it with DiD.

"I am proud to say that the training sessions we have run in our DTC have had a very positive impact on all groups which attended," summarizes Beat Bucher, Allianz Global Investors' Global Head of Human Resources. "Most customers are 'repeat visitors' or come on the recommendation of former participants. This is the best compliment we could possibly receive."

Bucher predicts a positive future for the DTC: "The reputation we have been able to build has also led to an increasing interest from the European market beyond Allianz Group companies. Several well-known companies have expressed interest in our facility, booked programs or have already held some."

"All of this success would not be possible without the continued support of the AllianzGI Management and the dedication of the DTC staff. The DTC has become an integral part of our company and it is here to stay", he concluded.
