Rémi Vrignaud to take over from Wolfram Littich as the new CEO of Allianz Austria

He will take over from Wolfram Littich, who has been successfully heading up the Allianz companies in Austria since 2001.

Rémi Vrignaud, who was born in Austria, joined Allianz in 2001 as assistant to the Chairman of the Board of Management, Wolfram Littich, before moving between various managerial roles. In 2012, he became Chairman of the Board of Management of Allianz-Tiriac SA in Romania. With Vrignaud at the helm, the company grew to become the number one insurer on the market in just a couple of years. Vrignaud became head of the CEO Office of Allianz SE in 2016.

Led by Littich, Allianz Austria expanded its customer base to the current figure of 1.2 million, with its customers reporting a level of satisfaction that is higher than that of any of the competitors'. As well as coinciding with the development of an innovative core IT infrastructure, Littich's era also paved the way for the digitalization strategy of today.

The plan is for Austria to join the efforts to reorganize the Central and Eastern Europe region at the beginning of 2018. The said region, which currently comprises seven countries, generates a premium income of 2.5 billion euros. With a premium income of 1.4 billion euros, Allianz Austria will become the region's new flagship.
