How would you describe what it is that you do?
Elizabeth Corley: I've had to do this with my daughter and my nephew and the simplest way to do it is to say I'm like a headmistress at their school. Because they don't understand big business and they do understand what a headmistress does. But then they say that can't be me, because I'm not strict enough.
What is the best part about your job?
Corley: The thing I most like is people, whether it's clients, employees or other industry contacts. But also the challenge and the thrill of success: It's great when you win.
What advice do you have for women who aspire to being top managers?
Corley: Probably the one thing I would suggest is they have real confidence in themselves, be sure of what they can do and be certain that they will make a difference.
