Launch of new unit “Allianz Global Benefits”

Allianz today launched Allianz Global Benefits, a new unit to globally provide employee benefit solutions which address the needs of multinational corporations. These solutions not only include corporate life, pension and health products, but also client-focused services to clients’ headquarters and subsidiaries.

The new unit will cooperate with Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty and Allianz Global Investors. Furthermore it will expand the existing cooperation in the area of worldwide employee benefits with global broker firms.

By combining global and local approaches, Allianz Global Benefits will help clients to optimize employee benefit schemes across countries, providing a clear overview of their worldwide employee benefits, a more advanced, international risk management perspective and governance. It leverages the geographical scale, vast understanding and broad experience Allianz has in markets worldwide as well as with international solutions.

This is accomplished by connecting local subsidiaries of the client with the local subsidiaries of Allianz Group and by seamlessly coordinating the design and implementation of aligned employee benefit solutions.

Allianz Global Benefits is headquartered in Germany with local hubs in three continents and integrates All Net, an already existing global and local network of Allianz subsidiaries and selected external insurance partners in over 80 countries.

“Large multinational corporations and their broker firms expect financial stability of their employee benefits providers worldwide and can therefore rely upon Allianz as a trusted partner,” says Theo Bouts, Head of Global Life & Health, Allianz SE, to whose business line the new unit belongs. “High-quality employee benefit solutions combine a high level of employee satisfaction with a long-term added value for the employer. We offer both.”

“We see that more and more multinational corporations are shifting from looking at employee benefits at a country level towards more centralization whether in terms of guidelines, control, service or need of solutions,” says Dirk Hellmuth, CEO of Allianz Global Benefits. “We help multinational corporations to achieve exactly these challenging aspirations.”
