AGF Asset Management, until now the management company of AGF France, has become an integral part of the professional asset management division of the Allianz Group, Allianz Global Investors. It will maintain a strong operational link with the Professional Unit of AGF France which includes amongst others, asset management, life insurance and banking. This link ensures close ties with insurance companies and the AGF France networks as part of the development of their financial products.

Maintaining identity
Representing Allianz Global Investors in France, Allianz Global Investors (France) SA will continue to pursue two main activities as part of the multi-boutique model of Allianz Global Investors:
-the design and development of its own management skills, chiefly concentrated on asset categories and the euro zone, diversified management and alternative multi-management (Allianz Alternative Asset Management) ;
-the promotion in France of its expertise as well as that of Allianz Global Investors, to its direct, corporate, institutional and partner clients as well as to the AGF networks.
Development of the brand
In July, AGF Alternative Asset Management changed its name to Allianz Alternative Asset Management. Now AGF Asset Management SA will become Allianz Global Investors (France) SA as of January 1, 2008.
This new name will bring to the company the strength of a brand which is known on international markets and in particular by its direct clients. It also recognizes the management expertise which has been developed in Paris.
According to Géraud Brac de la Perrière, the manager of Allianz Global Investors in France, "This new organization occupies a unique position. It enables the development of the management company to be pursued and accelerated as well as maintaining the quality of the links which exist between Allianz Global Investors in France, the life insurance professionals and the AGF France networks."
Elizabeth Corley, CEO of Allianz Global Investors Europe, adds, "I am delighted to welcome one of the most senior French asset managers to Allianz Global Investors. They will bring high-quality management expertise and proven commercial know-how."
