Today marks the release of the 16th edition of the Sustainability Report. The report, titled ‘Embracing the Future’, outlines the Allianz Group’s newly adapted strategy on corporate responsibility.
Promoting sustainability not only benefits our business but also has a huge impact on employees, stakeholders and society at large. “We can and must be a force for good,” says Allianz CEO Oliver Baete.
This means that we are dedicated to tackling climate change, supporting the renewable energy transition and the decarbonization of the economy through sustainable investments in things like wind parks. We are committed to breaking barriers by encouraging future generations and promoting social inclusion. And we are focusing on the bigger picture that includes serving emerging markets and consumers.
But embedding sustainability in all parts of the business doesn’t happen overnight. It is an ongoing process. We have already made great strides and are recognized as a best-in-class insurer across a number of sustainability ratings and indices.
