Allianz now also active in Slovenia

For Allianz, Slovenia as new member state of the European Monetary Union is a dynamic young market with excellent prospects. As of January 3, 2007, Styria West will sell both classical term and endowment life insurance as well as unit-linked products of the Austrian Allianz Group subsidiary. The policies will be administered in Vienna by Slovene-speaking employees who have been specially engaged and trained for this purpose.

"Our products combine European quality and security standards with the earning opportunities of the international capital markets. The freedom of services within the EU’s borders gives us the possibility of offering these products to Slovenian customers as well," stressed Manfred Baumgartl, board member of Allianz Elementar.

Gorazd Šifrer, a major partner of Styria West, is pleased about the extension of the brokerage’s range of products. "For our customers and our market the Allianz products will be a truly valuable addition – in more than one way", he explained, adding that Allianz had a good name in Slovenia thanks to its international sports sponsorship and is well-known to investors as one of the biggest asset managers in the world.
