Allianz supports female-focused education in Turkey with €2 million investment

Allianz Group has demonstrated its commitment to empowering girls through education by investing over €2 million, in collaboration with Allianz Turkey, in a new dormitory project in collaboration with Turkish charity, the Koruncuk Foundation. This initiative aims to increase the capacity of the Koruncuk Foundation and provide a safe and nurturing environment for more girls in need.

The new dormitory, located in Arnavutköy, Istanbul, will cover an area of 2,230 square meters and include rooms, social and recreation areas, a library, and a dining hall. It will offer comprehensive support, including access to education, sociocultural activities, and counseling, to foster the development and well-being of the girls.

Tolga Gürkan, CEO of Allianz Turkey, emphasized Allianz's commitment to sustainable development and the importance of providing equal educational opportunities in the opening ceremony for the project, which was attended by a number of local city officials. He highlighted that Allianz has been supporting the Koruncuk Foundation since 2016 and is dedicated to preparing future generations through qualified education.

In addition to this project, Allianz Turkey already provides scholarships to cover university education for Koruncuk girls and supports them in gaining professional skills to ready them for the workplace. Mentoring programs, vocational training, and employment opportunities are offered to help them become more independent and prosperous in their future careers.

This collaboration with the Koruncuk Foundation reflects Allianz's dedication to making a positive impact on society by empowering girls through education. Together, Allianz and the Koruncuk Foundation are aiming to build a brighter future for girls, transforming communities, and contributing to societal progress.
