Average age (years)

Average age of employees on reporting date. 
Important note: No child labor (below 15 years old) exist

Core business

All companies in and related to the insurance and asset
management business including our banking activities. Excluded are fully consolidated companies which are considered as pure financial investments, non-profit organizations e.g. foundations, and companies classified as held for sale.

Fulltime equivalent (FTE)

The equivalent to one full-time employee. A full-time equivalent of 1.0 means that the person is equivalent to a full-time worker, while an FTE of 0.5 signals that the person is working half-time.

Human Capital Return of Investment (ROI) (%)

This metric shows how effectively the investment in human capital is supporting the organization’s goals. Human capital RoI means the amount returned for every euro spent (e.g. employment costs) on human capital. It shows the ratio of income/revenue to employment costs.

Internal mobility rate

Sum of internal hires (within Allianz Group) divided by the average number of core business employees. Not included are intra-company movements and promotions.

International assignments

Number of employees working in a foreign country for a
predetermined period of time and the intention to return to the assigning company after completion of the assignment.

Length of service in years

Period of employment in Allianz companies starting from the date of the first entry in an Allianz company.

Manager

Employee who is functionally responsible for other staff,
regardless of level, e.g. division, department and team manager.

Number of misconducts as termination reason

The number of employees whose employment contract with the organization was terminated during the reporting period due to failure to fulfil the conditions of employment, the Allianz Group Code of Conduct, corporate rules, or applicable laws and regulations.

Number of people killed during work accidents

KPI not reported in 2020 due to not being considered part of the Allianz risk model (no fatal occupational injuries caused by hazards which are inherent in or related to the type of work within the Insurance sector are known/reported internally).

The number of employees who completed a training class on legal and compliance during the reporting period (e.g. Anti-Corruption and Anti-Fraud training, Anti-Money Laundering) divided by the average number of headcounts for the reporting period.

Number of days spent by employees in training.

Turnover rate

Number of employees leaving the Allianz Group divided by yearly average number of employees.
