Allianz Beyond - our employee network for disability inclusion

Allianz Beyond is our employee network for disability inclusion and currently has 16 local networks in place.

Allianz Beyond focuses on raising awareness for disability inclusion, identifying ways to make Allianz more accessible (physically and digitally), creating a safe space for employees to disclose their disability and workplace assistance needs to perform at their best, as well as promoting Allianz as an attractive employer for people with disabilities externally.

Axel Bitzer, Co-Lead of the Global Allianz Beyond Board:

"I have been a wheelchair user since my cycling accident in 2020, which resulted in paraplegia. I know first-hand that the multifaceted topic of disability is still dealt with very differently in our working world. I really enjoy working on Beyond and having the opportunity to actively shape it. The network creates awareness and a space for employees to come together. Together, we are making an important contribution to promoting the inclusion and representation of people with disabilities within Allianz."

Allianz Group joins the Valuable 500 – Our commitment statement:

Allianz has been a Valuable 500 member since 2020 and is committed to increasing transparency on disabilities in the corporate landscape through increased disclosure. As an Iconic Leader, we played a crucial role in the identification and definition of the Valuable 500 Disability Inclusion KPIs. These were announced at the WEF in 2023 and cover the following dimensions: Workforce Representation, Training, Employee Resource Groups, and Digital Accessibility. We are working with Valuable 500 to secure commitment from other members to disclose Disability Inclusion KPIs and ultimately grant persons with disabilities more equity in the workplace.
