What holds a community together in wartime?

Robin and his wife Nadja, both colleagues at Allianz, have volunteered in Lviv multiple times since 2023, working in a kitchen that feeds soldiers and displaced civilians alike. They know this world firsthand. They have shared their experiences with us before each time returning with new friendships, deeper ties and the same conviction.

Andrii, Robin and Nadja have shared some ways to contribute. Each one is a direct line to people doing the work on the ground:

  • Lviv Volunteer Kitchen: Robin and Nadja have spent weeks in this kitchen, preparing meals for soldiers at the front. It has kept running for years, but rising electricity costs are putting pressure on it. If you can help, donations go directly and without deductions via the Kulturator foundation here.
  • ENGin: connects volunteers with young Ukrainians learning English online here.
