Allianz to terminate PIMCO M Unit Plan and purchase M Units

Allianz today announced that it has exercised its right to terminate the legacy PIMCO employee equity plan (M Unit Plan) and will purchase outstanding PIMCO M Units for cash.

  • Allianz to acquire HSBC Life Singapore, a composite insurer with a strong presence in the local life and health insurance market
  • Allianz and HSBC Singapore will enter into an exclusive 15-year distribution agreement that extends a successful existing partnership with HSBC across Asia Pacific
  • Customers in Singapore will benefit from broadened access to best-in-class protection, health, retirement and wealth solutions from Allianz’s global product offerings

Allianz SE announces Board of Management changes

  • The Supervisory Board of Allianz SE and Günther Thallinger have mutually agreed that Mr. Thallinger’s term as member of the Board of Management will conclude on December 31, 2026.
  • Andreas Wimmer, Member of the Board of Management of Allianz SE, will assume additional responsibility for Allianz Investment Management SE.
  • Tomas Kunzmann, upon joining the Board of Management of Allianz SE on January 1, 2027, will assume further responsibility for Global Health and Sustainability (ESG).
  • The Board of Management of Allianz SE will be reduced from nine to eight members.
