Sustainability in insurance

Embedding sustainability considerations into our insurance business enables us to manage risks and act on opportunities to support sustainable development. We aim to add value through dialogue with stakeholders and by sharing our expertise on risk understanding and mitigation, and the management of sustainability risks.

By combining decarbonization with new opportunities, Allianz aims to support businesses and individuals to transition to a more sustainable future. We continuously work closely with our customers, explore opportunities to develop low-carbon solutions and technologies, and actively monitor our progress to ensure we meet these goals.

Sustainability in proprietary investments

As an asset owner, Allianz invests its proprietary assets – primarily the premiums collected from insurance customers. We aim to create a lasting positive legacy through these investments.

Sustainability in asset management

We offer a wide range of equity, fixed income, and alternative investment strategies, products and solutions to our asset management clients – from retail fund investors to institutional clients. As one of the largest asset managers in the world that actively manages assets, we are well positioned to offer ESG and responsible investment solutions.

Our two major asset management businesses are Allianz Global Investors and PIMCO.
