Uniting for change: How Allianz Life is breaking down economic barriers

We believe we can create a lasting and positive impact in the lives of many generations to come by increasing access to basic needs, gainful employment, and financial knowledge, especially for historically underserved populations. We call our approach Allianz for Tomorrow, which includes corporate grantmaking and a deeply engaged employee volunteer network.
Building strong financial futures
We support partners across the journey to a strong tomorrow by focusing on financial stability, financial sustainability, and financial security. In 2023, we made $3M in grants, reaching more than 105,000 people across this journey.
Uniting employees and partners for change

We take pride in uniting employees and partners to help support our community.

One of the ways we do this is through our commitment to the Midway neighborhood in St. Paul, which has only grown stronger in the years since our investment in Allianz Field, home of the Minnesota United Football Club (MNUFC). In fact, in 2023 we contributed $1.3 million to Midway-area nonprofits.

One of our long-standing Midway-area partners is Keystone Community Services. Keystone is an organization that works to strengthen the capacity of individuals and families to improve their quality of life.

Every year, we team up with MNUFC to raise the visibility of Keystone and the need for food, which has become even greater since the pandemic.

Starting with small food distribution in 2019, we have since grown to a more organized effort, now hosting our fifth year of Free Farmers Markets at Allianz Field. During Free Farmers Markets, Allianz Life employees team up with MNUFC and Keystone to provide fresh fruits and vegetables to community members to help ends meet throughout the summer. Since the beginning of our partnership, Allianz volunteers have helped to distribute more than 447,000 pounds of food to over 9,000 families in the neighborhood.
We recognize that not everyone may be able to go offsite to donate their time, so we also bring employees and community partners together right on our campus for volunteer events. We host an annual onsite hygiene packing event, which has benefitted Keystone and another one of our community partners, YouthLink. These hygiene kits mean more people in our community can access basic needs. Last summer, 300 Allianz Life, Allianz Technology of America, and Allianz of America employees came together to pack 4,200 hygiene kits for people in need. Together, they volunteered nearly 225 hours.
In addition to volunteerism, we have featured Keystone at our title sponsor game at Allianz Field, offering MNUFC fans the opportunity to support the organization by rounding up to donate at the register. We have also been able to provide space at Allianz Field to sponsor Keystone’s fundraising gala for the public.
