Allianz contacts in your region/country
The figures and forecasts provided by our Allianz global research network are designed to back your decisions on investment and in finance and insurance matters.
Our primary approach to international health and life insurance is the belief in the importance of company culture and the impact it has on how our teams relate to our clients and partners as well as to each other. Employees of Allianz Care have a strong service ethic, driven by a client focused culture. There is an emphasis on earning and maintaining client loyalty by providing a market leading product range, level of service and support. The company’s multicultural staff, made up of 68 nationalities and collectively speaking 34 languages, mirrors the global nature of our client base.
Allianz Care has steadily built a client base that includes many of the Fortune Global 500 companies.
This service-led approach is fostered by an internal culture of employee recognition and reward. Allianz Care’s “I Make a Difference” award is given to staff who make a significant and positive difference within service-led activities, encouraging a service level that exceeds rather than meets customer expectations, across every stage of customer contact.
We believe that insurance products and services will increasingly be delivered and supported through mobile technology, although members will continue to rely on their healthcare insurer for personal support and medical advice. Our MyHealth app allows group and individual members to photograph invoices for fast and easy submission of international medical claims, without the need to complete a claim form. Policy documents can also be accessed, even when the member is offline.
Allianz Care won “Best International Private Medical Insurer” at the Cover Excellence Awards 2016 as well as receiving awards at both the International Adviser and Product Awards and Global Fund Awards in the same year.
International health, life and disability insurance
A range of international healthcare plans are available for small and large groups, IGOs, NGOs and other governmental organisations, on an underwritten or medical history disregarded basis, depending on group size.
We also look after the health insurance needs of private families, individuals and students who can choose from a flexible range of international and regional plans.
Our comprehensive healthcare plans cover a wide range of in-patient and day care treatments as well as medical evacuation, local ambulance and nursing at home. Out-patient, dental and repatriation plans can be added, plus plans can be completely tailored for large groups.
In addition, we offer healthcare plans for specific regions including the Middle East, China, Latin America and the Caribbean.
Our life insurance cover provides financial protection and security for dependants, in the unfortunate event of the death of a member of staff. The benefit amount can be based on a percentage of the staff member’s gross salary or it can be a fixed amount. Cover for accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) and terminal Illness is also available as an add-on to Life cover.
These plans provide replacement income for staff that are unable to perform their occupation following an accident or illness. Employers can choose either Short and Long Term disability cover, or Temporary and Permanent disability cover.
Insurance and reinsurance
Our underwriting expertise and insurance infrastructure allows us to develop solutions for Managing General Agents (MGAs), administrators, specialty insurers and bank insurers. As specialists in international health and life insurance, we provide expert advice and support when it comes to regulatory changes, legal and tax requirements and technical underwriting of health and life risks.
With our wide range of insurance products and health and protection services, specialty insurers and bank insurers can expand and differentiate their offering while providing their clients with even more value and security.
Rated A+ Superior by AM Best, we also have the required scale and capacity when it comes to the reinsurance of standard or tailored health and life risks.
Global health and protection services
Increasing numbers of staff on overseas assignments and business travellers heading to emerging countries face complex conditions, often in remote environments. In these locations, health and safety risks can be high and the level of support available locally may not always meet the appropriate standards.
Our Global health and protection services mitigate the risks of business travellers and expatriated staff. Services include pre-travel health assessments, travel security, Employee Assistance Programs, security evacuations and occupational health advice.
Through Allianz Care Services and NEXtCARE, we can administer a range of global insurance risks, including health, life and disability, for other insurers and self-insured schemes. The services offered include issuing policy documents, managing access to our medical network, handling claims and providing 24/7 multilingual Helpline support.
We also have a range of healthcare plans tailored to satisfy specific needs, such as those of shipping companies and diplomats. For example our marine plans are fully compliant with the Maritime Labour Convention (MLC2006) requirements for onshore health cover and we offer an extensive choice of mandatory and voluntary benefits that cover day-to-day medical expenses as well as in-patient hospital costs.
For employers with staff who travel abroad regularly on business but are not based abroad, we have plans which cover medical emergencies which occur during business trips. Staff are covered for single or multiple trips up to a combined maximum of either 30 or 90 travel days per year.
Allianz operates as an international insurer on almost every continent. We have deep roots in our home market: Western, Northern & Southern Europe.
