Aquarius with the fewest claims, Taurus lives more dangerously

Aquarius (21 January – 19 February), apparently drives more carefully than the other eleven signs of the zodiac. A study by Allianz Suisse shows that Aquarians cause notably fewer claims than those born later in the year. The insurer analyzed nearly 400,000 auto insurance contracts and sorted them according to date of birth and zodiac sign.

Amazingly, Aquarians had 3.5 percent lower claims frequency in both third party liability cases and in general damages. "It could just be coincidence and of course the zodiac sign has no influence on premiums. We take a much more comprehensive view when assessing risk." emphasizes Jörg Zinsli, Head of Claims at Allianz Suisse.

But could there be some accuracy to the descriptions often attributed to each zodiac sign? Aquarians are typically described as being spontaneous, unconventional, freedom-loving, and team oriented. Taureans (21 April – 20 Mai) are supposedly realistic and impatient, but also stubborn. Perhaps their negative traits come out in traffic: Taurus has a claims frequency 1.9 percent higher than the average and therefore lives more dangerously. Cancer fares a bit better and is exactly in the middle with a claims frequency of 28.5 percent.
