Allianz Australia names Richard Feledy as new CEO to succeed Niran Peiris

Richard Feledy, currently the Chief Technical Officer of Allianz Australia, will succeed Niran Peiris, who will join Allianz SE’s Board of Management with effect from January 1, 2018.

Before assuming his responsibilities as CEO, Mr. Feledy will move into a newly-created role of Deputy CEO. Allianz Australia Chairman John Curtis said: “Richard’s experience across all aspects of insurance and leadership qualities made him a great fit for the position. He is the right person to lead Allianz into the future. He brings a broad ‎and deep knowledge of insurance to the role, serving on the leadership team of Allianz for seven years as our Chief Technical Officer.”

Dr. Axel Theis, Member of the Allianz SE Board of Management, said: “I would like to thank Niran for the great work he has done over the years in Allianz Australia and wish Richard all the best in his new role.”
