Soccer adventure for teenagers from all over the world

The boys and girls, aged 14-16, were chosen from amongst over 60,000 applications received from around the world. The aim of the camp is to bring together youngsters, develop their soccer skills and help them explore foreign cultures and gain friends for life.

The participants began their adventure with a once-in-a-lifetime experience, after being invited to watch the first team in a private training session at the world class FC Bayern München training facility. This was followed by an exclusive meet and greet and autograph session with international footballing superstars, including Spaniard Javier Martinez, attending his first training after the club announced his signing this week. The children also met Bastian Schweinsteiger, Manuel Neuer, Phillip Lahm and Diego Contento. Following that, the kids took to the famous pitches themselves to begin their training program with the FC Bayern München youth coaches.

“It is so much fun for us to meet the kids coming to the Allianz Junior Football Camp,” says Diego Contento, FC Bayern München. “They come from all over the world and are always so excited and interested. It makes us remember what it was like when we were kids following our favorite players.”

Camp participants experienced a diverse sports and adventure program again this year: beyond the meet and greet with the players and official training sessions, the kids also took a sightseeing trip of Munich visited the newly opened official FC Bayern München museum, "FC Bayern Erlebniswelt". They also got a peek behind the scenes of the Allianz Arena and got to watch FC Bayern München play against VFB Stuttgart live.

"The Allianz Junior Football Camp has a very international character. All our participants come from different cultural and social backgrounds – and yet they all share a passion for football. The exceptional experience they gain in Munich significantly contributes to the intercultural exchange of the young adults", says Matthias Fichtl, Head of Global Brand Building of Allianz SE.
