Allianz supports exceptional young talent Moritz Lampert

This year, by granting the 18 year-old Moritz Lampert the right to participate in the Pro/Am Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, Allianz is once again building a bridge between two of its main golfing partners: the young sportsman is a member of the St. Leon-Rot golf club which Allianz supports at national level. Having clocked up a whole number of victories, Moritz Lampert is testimony to the success of the targeted support for youth, sport and performance.

The long-standing member of the German golf association's national team not only won the Allianz German Boys & Girls Championship in 2010, he also won the French Boys Championship, came second in the German Men's Singles and was appointed to the Junior Ryder Cup Team for Europe.

"He is the best possible proof of how important youth development is both to us and our partner, the St. Leon-Rot golf club. I am delighted that Allianz is in a position to reward his will to suceed, hard work and extraordinary talent with a participation at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship", said Christian Deuringer, Vice President and Head of Global Brand Management of Allianz.

Moritz Lampert is honored to be able to take part in the lucrative Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. After all, the Championship provides a stage for some of the world's most successful golfers, such as Martin Kaymer or Allianz's long-standing golfing ambassador Paul McGinley.

"It's always been my dream to be able to compete directly against the top names in our sport. It's sensational that this dream is going to come true on the legendary Old Course in St Andrews", says Moritz, who promises, "I will give my all and enjoy every stroke."

Christian Deuringer adds: " In this way we also hope that we can support the development of young talents via our partnership with St Andrews Links, the Home of Golf."

Allianz has been a partner of St Andrews Links, the largest public-sector and one of the most renowned golf courses in Europe, since 2009. Within the framework of this partnership, Allianz invests in local coastal protection measures, as the golf course located on the St Andrews coast is known as a unique natural heritage site.

Every year, Allianz gives a young amateur golfer the chance to take part in the Alfred Dunhill Links Championships as part of this partnership. Last year, for example, Allianz lent its support to the exceptional disabled golfer Manuel de los Santos, who had to have a leg amputated after an accident, also as an ambassador for the company's commitment to paralympic sport.
