Allianz Parque stadium opens in Sao Paulo to the sound of Paul McCartney

Allianz Parque opened with a mega music concert with ex-Beatle Paul McCartney. As the 45,000 tickets for the show were sold out in less than 24 hours, he gave a second concert the next evening.

Allianz Parque is the sixth member of the Group’s “family of stadiums” and the first one in Latin America. “Naming a stadium is much more than investing in a prestigious venue. It can be considered a business platform since it creates a physical space for an emotional, direct relationship with current and potential customers, distributors and other stakeholders. It’s about market differentiation and humanizing our brand”, says Allianz Seguros CEO Miguel Pérez Jaime. “Naming this state-of-the-art venue will add a new dimension to the Allianz brand in Brazil, besides placing it on the map of international events as Sao Paulo is renowned to be Latin America’s economic and entertainment capital.”

“Inaugurating Allianz Parque is a reason of great pride. Allianz already holds the naming rights for five other exceptional venues: the Allianz Arena in Germany, the Allianz Stadium in Australia, the Allianz Park in England, the Allianz Riviera, in France, and the Allianz Stadion in Austria. São Paulo will gain a unique venue to host mega events. Through Allianz Parque we are adding the greatest passion of the Brazilian people – football – to our brand.” says Felipe Gomes, executive director of Market Management and Strategy for Allianz Seguros.
