FC Bayern München star player Franck Ribéry made a special appearance at the Allianz Junior Football Camp prior to the 2014-15 Bundesliga season kick-off.
For the sixth consecutive year, Allianz has invited 75 young football players for an once-in-a-lifetime experience to train like the professionals and learn invaluable tips and tricks. The young players come from 28 different countries including Germany, Austria, France, the United Kingdom, Malaysia, Switzerland, Hungary, Turkey and Thailand.
In the year of the 2014 World Cup, the Allianz Junior Football Camp aims to bring together people from around the world to promote international exchange, with the aim to teach youth respect for other cultures and nationalities. The camp highlights the importance of being part of a team, and by having FC Bayern players such as Ribéry to offer support, the camp further helps inspire youth to follow their passion and achieve their goals.
As part of the program, the group met FC Bayern München and former French national player Ribéry, who spent some time with the star-struck group. They also took part in a training session at Säbener Strasse with professional trainers and youth coaches from FC Bayern München. The teenagers took advantage of the state-of-the-art facilities where they were given tips to improve skills such as target shooting, ball juggling and passing, as well as skills concerning mental elements of the game.
