Game Changers for Employees

The title recognises Allianz Australia’s dedication to creating an LGBTI inclusive culture as well as their progress in the Australian Workplace Equality Index. Can they make it two years in a row?

Good news! Allianz is one of the five most inclusive companies in the world, according to the Refinitiv Global Diversity & Inclusion Index – we ranked no 5 last year, up two places on 2020.

Allianz’s workplace principles of inclusiveness and diversity, including four-month maternity leave and financial literacy education for employees, were recognised at the Herstory Indonesia Empowerment Awards 2021.

As part of its commitment to creating a diverse and inclusive culture, Allianz has launched a Transitioning at Work policy to be implemented across the UK business, covering topics such as name changes, dress codes and pronoun guidance. 

In June 2021, some 500 employees across France got involved in the first Allianz Engagement Day, which aimed to encourage people to reconnect with colleagues and forge new links with their local community after the enforced isolation of the pandemic. 

In August 2021, Allianz rolled out a set of Global Minimum Standards for its new Ways of Working for Allianz companies Group-wide. Flexibility, collaboration and agility became the building blocks based around five action points: flexible work and reduced travel, digital tools, health and wellbeing, lifelong learning, and organisation and culture.
