Diversity

Allianz has been included in the Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index (GEI) for the seventh consecutive year. Allianz’s overall GEI score increased significantly compared to 2021, from 79% to 87%.

Allianz was ranked #5 in the Refinitiv Diversity & Inclusion Index 2021, climbing two places since 2020. With that, Allianz is the only German company among the top 20 and the only insurer in the top 100.

Allianz was ranked second in the German Diversity Index 2021, which reflects the transparency of the diversity commitment of the DAX 30 companies in their annual and sustainability reports of 2020.

The Valuable 500 is a global movement working to put disability on the agenda of business leadership. By signing The Valuable 500 commitment, Allianz officially joined this movement and confirms it will continue working on increasing disability inclusion.

Women's Empowerment Principles

Allianz joined the list of supporters for the UN Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs), a partnership initiative of UN Women and UN Global Compact that provides a set of considerations to help the private sector focus on key actions to promote gender equality in the workplace, marketplace and community.

Free & Equal

Allianz Group joined the list of supporters for the UN ”Free & Equal“ LGBTI Standards of Conduct. The five Standards were developed by the United Nations Human Rights Office to support the business community in tackling discrimination against lesbian, gay, bi, trans and intersex (LGBTI) people.

Allianz has been included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) with top ranking positions since 2000.  In 2021, we achieved 100th percentile within the insurance industry with a total score of 93 out of 100 points.*
