Offering more than insurance, Allianz’s innovative solutions also provide convenient and quick help for special-needs.
Products for the 21st century
The demographic shift toward an older population is reflected in changes in people's needs. Allianz companies around the world have designed products to fulfill these needs, combining financial safeguards with better service. In Germany, a new product has just been launched that combines the services of two different Allianz companies. "60 Aktiv" is a casualty insurance for seniors that offers more than just money. This innovative product combines injury compensation with nursing care and household maintenance services.

In France, Mondial Assistance offers a special service through local communities, insurance companies, and also directly. "Soliphone" is what a French secretary of state named a simplified mobile telephone for elderly people - a solution Mondial Assistance Group has been offering for 20 years. "GTS tele-assistance" is Mondial Assistance's official name for its senior citizens' service. The principle is simple: A senior wears a special necklace or bracelet with an alarm button at all times. He or she only needs to press a single button in case of a fall or any other emergency. This automatically alerts the 24-hour operation center, where a coordinator evaluates the situation and decides upon the steps necessary for immediate intervention. This could mean the operator calling a consulting doctor or a family member or friend, or notifying emergency services.

Emergency Services
Another example of a multibenefit product offered by Allianz Germany is called "Haus- und Wohnungsschutzbrief" (House and Home Protection Letter) and covers the top 10 emergency services chosen by customers through surveys. For less than 5 euros per month, German households can now buy 24-hour Allianz emergency service protecting everyone in their home. If any of these emergencies arises, a household member simply calls the free hotline and an authorized service person is quickly dispatched to the home. The problem is taken care of immediately, and Allianz pays the service provider.
