Since the opening of the Allianz Arena in May 2005, more than 4.5 million football fans have been viewing matches at the stadium. In addition, about 750,000 visitors have taken a tour of the Arena on non-match days. These figures highlight the level of interest, which inspired Allianz to share the fascination of what has become a German landmark across the world.
Consequently, the first Allianz Mini Arena was launched in June 2006 at Munich Airport, a scaled model which is one-twentieth the size of the original and from the exterior view a detailed replica of the actual Allianz Arena located on the outskirts of Munich. Its exterior surface also has the unique color-changing shell, changing from white, blue to red. The Allianz Mini Arena is located at airports and offers a unique and comfortable waiting area for people during their time before boarding.

News to Go
Since November 2007, the Allianz Mini Arena at Munich Airport presents the new concept »News to Go«, a special service for business traveler. Several terminals offer latest news from business, politics, finance and sports – concise and free of charge. Furthermore the offer of information includes “INsights” a summary of some Allianz engagements and „Life & Travel“ which includes a city guide to several international destinations and advices about fitness and health. Alternatively, these news are also available for download on mobile devices and PDA’s.
Within the Mini Arena passengers can still watch latest sports- and news-broadcasts on giant screens or wait for their flights in very convenient seating. With these services Allianz offers an added value to the passenger in order to provide a pleasant journey.

Placements
In addition to the current location at Munich airport, Mini Arenas are going to be placed all over the world with the focus on airports.
