Denker & Wulf has sold the 20 megawatt Pröttlin wind farm, located in Brandenburg, Germany, to Allianz. The wind farm was developed and constructed by Denker & Wulf using REpower MM82 2MW wind turbines and has been operational since late 2007.

The wind farm with a total output of 20 megawatts comprises 10 REpower MM82 wind turbines with a hub height of 100 meters and is expected to supply 38 million kilowatt hours (kWh) of energy each year.

As part of the alternative asset investment activities of Allianz, Allianz Specialised Investments is dedicated to the segment of renewable energy investments. Its aim is to build up a long-term portfolio in renewable energy sources, especially wind energy. To date, the portfolio consists of ten wind farms with a combined installed capacity of 241 megawatts.

With two offices in Germany and today more than 35 employees, Denker & Wulf AG plans, manages and operates wind farms in Germany. Apart from planning new projects, the future focus will be on repowering existing wind farms. In this respect the so far biggest German repowering project was realized in 2007 by Denker & Wulf in Galmsbüll with more than 50 megawatts rated power. Other main fields of activity are the technical and commercial wind farm management as well as services in project development and wind farm operation.
