Allianz has acquired a German wind farm from Denker & Wulf, Pröttlin in Brandenburg.

Denker & Wulf has sold the 20 megawatt Pröttlin wind farm, located in Brandenburg, Germany, to Allianz. The wind farm was developed and constructed by Denker & Wulf using REpower MM82 2MW wind turbines and has been operational since late 2007.

The wind farm with a total output of 20 megawatts comprises 10 REpower MM82 wind turbines with a hub height of 100 meters and is expected to supply 38 million kilowatt hours (kWh) of energy each year.

"We are very pleased with the successful acquisition of the Pröttlin wind farm. We look forward to strengthening our relationship with Denker & Wulf and to adding further projects to our growing portfolio during the course of 2008," said David Jones, CEO of Allianz Specialised Investments.
