Independent bodies attest to Allianz Dresdner Global Investors’ efficacious processes and monitoring systems / SAS 70 II certification is an important competitive advantage for insourcing

Allianz Dresdner Global Investors is one of the first asset management companies in Germany to possess certification under the American auditing standard SAS 70 II. This provides independent confirmation for Allianz Dresdner Global Investors' investment companies, comprising dbi, dit, Allianz Global Investors Luxembourg and Allianz Global Investors Ireland, that their specific processes and monitoring mechanisms, e.g. in the fields of portfolio management, trading, investment controlling, fund accounting, risk management and IT, are all in place and are working properly.

Carsten Eckert: "Certification under SAS 70 II will further strengthen clients’ confidence in us"

Position strengthened
SAS 70 II strengthens Allianz Dresdner Global Investors’ position as a service provider for third parties. Thanks to SAS 70 II, external customers who order services from Allianz Dresdner Global Investors can be certain that in all relevant areas the appropriate processes are up and running and that the monitoring mechanisms are fully effective. This constitutes a crucial competitive advantage, particularly when dealing with institutional customers, e.g. when relocating pension provisions (CTA) or with anything involving a Master-KAG.

To quote Carsten Eckert, speaker of dbi’s board: "Certification under SAS 70 II will further strengthen clients’ confidence in us, and enhance the levels of customer loyalty.”

Certification under SAS 70 II is gaining steadily importance worldwide, and for companies is swiftly evolving into a significant indicator of corporate quality. In the USA, for example, firms wishing to take part in tenders issued by companies listed on the stock exchange are already being required to evidence certification under SAS 70 II.

Compliance with the standards laid down in SAS 70 II is regularly verified, once a year.
