Chief Sales Officer & Europe head Reinhard Schwarz and Chief Underwriting & Claims Officer Hermann Joerissen also represented the company’s global leadership. In one-on-one talks, they described the company’s business model that combines focused dialogue with clients and brokers with a worldwide network and extensive expertise, available to the Nordic team.

Stig Jensen, heading the new unit as CEO, talked about the Nordic office starting in "pole position" in the region. As in automobile racing, this front spot is the result of a unique combination of strengths.

The insurer not only enjoys an S&P rating of AA (stable) but has one of the largest worldwide networks and extensive expertise in international insurance programs. These provide the same level of service, particularly centrally coordinated claims management and risk consulting, wherever clients do business.

Jensen and his local team bring considerable experience and are some of the best-known figures in the Nordic regional market. The new office will write property and liability insurance for large corporate clients as well as cover the specialty lines marine, aviation, financial lines, pharmaceutical/chemicals, engineering and energy. It will also offer access to the products and services of the entire Allianz Group.

Guests were also treated to a Formula 1 presentation by former F1 driver, expert and journalist Christian Danner. Making reference to the involvement of the Allianz Group in Formula 1 racing, he spoke about racing risk and the importance of teamwork for risk prevention.
