A colorful history
The history of Frankfurter Allianz had a turbulent beginning in 1929. Following the collapse of the second largest German insurance company, Frankfurter Allgemeine Versicherungs-AG (FAVAG), Allianz took over parts of the insurance business and established the "New Frankfurter". Today Frankfurter represents Allianz's business in the states of Hesse, Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland.
The book does not simply tell the history of Frankfurter Allianz up to the present day, but also looks back to the start-up years of FAVAG and its subsidiaries, such as Hammonia. After all, as one of the biggest insurance companies, FAVAG, established in 1865, was one of the most formative forces in Germany's insurance industry.
